WHO & WHY

Jr. High School, 6th-8th grade, is a formative season of life that is crucial for our children to begin discovering their own identity as a child of God. Our desire is to provide a biblical foundation that embraces an intimacy with God, that our children would be equipped  with wisdom and steadfastness to live out their faith in this season of life, and provide a safe and fun environment where they grow in their love for God and for others.  
WE BELIEVE IN A WORD-BASED & SPIRIT-DRIVEN CHURCH.
WE BELIEVE IN AGE APPROPRIATE SPIRITUALITY THAT  IS CONDUCIVE TO THE SPIRITUAL, EMOTIONAL, PHYSICAL, AND MENTAL DEVELOPMENT STAGE OF LIFE.
WE BELIEVE THAT GOD HAS COMMISSIONED US IN EVERY SEASON OF LIFE TO STEP OUT IN OBEDIENCE AND FOLLOW HIS WILL.

PASTOR intern Harrison Yu

Hello! 
My name is Harrison Yu and I am currently the Pastor Intern for our JR. High ministry here at Church of southland.

I have been at the church of southland since 2013 and currently in the M.Div program at talbot seminary. I also graduated from Biola University for my undergrad! I am married to the love of my life amy.
My prayer is that we would be a family who is secure in our identity in christ and live a life that is pleasing to god!
