99 Days to Pentecost: Day 75

Day 75 - April 29, 2021

Acts 4:11 (Read the Full Chapter)
He is the stone which was rejected by you, the builders, but which became the chief cornerstone.

“A House in Order”
Written by Pastor Won Kim

I remember going to the groundbreaking of a new facility, and there was a cornerstone ceremony. Traditionally, a cornerstone was a foundational piece that determined what was essential, true, and right for the establishment of the building. In modern times, a cornerstone is a ceremonial masonry stone set in a prominent location for display, usually on the outside of a building.

How many of us have moved Jesus from His place as the foundation of our life, determining what is right and true in our lives, to being a ceremonial piece that may look good but is disconnected from the integrity of our lives? They may both be called cornerstones but they serve completely different purposes. Let us use this as a reminder to consider if Jesus is truly the foundational cornerstone of our lives.

Take time to reread Acts 4 and prayerfully reflect on God’s Word to you through this chapter.
