99 Days to Pentecost: Day 92

Day 92 - May 16, 2021

Acts 21:13-14 (Read Full Chapter)
'Then Paul replied, “What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but even to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.” And since he would not be persuaded, we became quiet, remarking, “The will of the Lord be done!” '

“What Are You Convicted Of?”
Written by Pastor Samuel Pyo

Paul is being led by the Holy Spirit to return to Jerusalem, and do the work of God there. Throughout his missionary journeys, Paul had been attacked, shipwrecked, and nearly died on many occasions. What we see in Paul is an unwavering commitment to move towards where God has convicted him to go. One of the most admirable qualities of Paul is His obedience to the Lord despite all of its challenges. We see earlier in the chapter that the other believers are trying to convince Paul not to go to Jerusalem because they knew by the Spirit that Paul would face persecution. Paul, knowing what was to come, was grieved and yet he marched forward. They simply all agreed and said, “The will of the Lord be done!” Are we moving in conviction that no matter what challenges may come, our Lord will remain good and faithful? What are we convicted of doing in the Spirit? Will we go in obedience?

Take time to reread Acts 21 and prayerfully reflect on God’s Word to you through this chapter.
