Acts 6:7 (Read Full Chapter)
The word of God kept spreading; and the number of the disciples continued to increase greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were becoming obedient to the faith.

We live in a time of division in the United States. We can not find common ground with those we identify as the opposition. We have no love for our enemies. In this verse, we learn that a “great many of the priests were becoming obedient to the faith.” Wow! The very ones who worked for the institution that killed Jesus were being added to the numbers of the faithful. How did that come about? How do you get others to join in your beliefs? All we see on the news are two sides perpetually shouting at each other. In Acts, it says in verse 5 that they devoted themselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. I guess math was simpler back then.
Take time to reread Acts 6 and prayerfully reflect on God’s Word to you through this chapter.
